We are about halfway through the semester and it has been great so far. I am currently enrolled in Thomas Esmerelda's advanced vis dev class, and I am really learning a lot about color and lighting. I also challenged myself to do some designs for the BFA project, the wishing well, just for practice. I didn't get a chance to complete the project, but I feel like I've already grown just from the few designs that I did.
The Wishing Well: Cambodia
This illustration is based on a news story about a kitten who is attacked by 4 pitbulls. The kitten survives by hiding in the fender of a car, after the car drives for miles. We were told to illustrate a moment from the story.
VERY nice Kristy. I especially like the wishing well work. For my two cents, the little bit of foliage in the foreground on the lower left is a little distracting and needs a little bit more polish to mix in with the overall excellent piece.
